Saveur - Affordable French cusine

After seeing so many pictures of the nicely rolled pasta sprinkled with fried ebi on IG, I've always wanted to give this place a try and it's so awesome that they opened an outlet at Far East Plaza because the place was not packed to the brim and it's so much more accessible.

First up, starters!

Foie Gras in Creamy Lentils - $7.90

I tried foie gras once before and it was pretty unforgettable, so I ordered it for bf to try and his reaction was "Melt-in-your-mouth good! Why no intro before??" Heh. The foie gras was good, not exceptionally WOW but it was good. Although I think the apple sauce may have been better because the creamy lentils didn't leave a lasting impression.

Saveur's Pasta - $4.90

Duck Confit - $10.90

The pasta was cooked al dente and flavourful with the olive oil, garlic and some herbs. The crunchy ebi was like a bonus to the whole dish and it definitely whet our appetite for our main dish- Duck Leg Confit!

I liked that the duck skin was crisp and the duck was grilled just right so that the duck was still tender yet flavourful. Mashed potatoes was creamy and smooth and not too salty to go well with the slightly salty duck meat.

The cosy and classy ambience of the small French eatery made dining very comfortable, and not harmful to our pockets at all.
